Gas Storage Well Engineering and Well Site Management
Beacon West’s drilling and workover engineering team, along with our Well Site Managers, provide comprehensive support for gas storage clients. Working closely with our client’s engineering teams, Beacon West’s well and facility engineers provide project management support, cost and schedule control, preparation of well programs and post-work documentation. Our experienced Well Site Managers ensure safe and efficient execution of well workover operations.
Beacon West’s well rework engineering support includes well and flow arm design engineering and downhole well engineering design for gas storage wells. Beacon West engineers prepare CalGEM compliant well rework programs, utilizing WellCat and Stress Check modeling for tubular analysis. Our engineers participate in design review meetings, prepare drawing packages, and finalize vendor and equipment lists. Beacon West facility engineers coordinate with our client’s engineering teams for above-ground piping support and preparation of P&IDs. During rig and construction work, Beacon West engineers remain available 24/7 for on-call engineering support. Post-work documentation support includes preparation of final wellbore diagrams, well operations summary reports, cost analysis, and as-built flowline P&ID’s.
During well workover operations, Beacon West Well Site Managers work closely with project engineers and safety personnel to ensure that all well operations are carried out safely and in accordance with state and federal regulations and all permit conditions. Our WSMs have decades of experience performing well workovers, completions, and production operations for gas storage wells, including experience in high pressure gas fields. All Beacon West WSMs have up-to-date well control and First Aid certifications, and ensure that all drilling and workover operations are completed safely and efficiently.
